The Ontario Business Registry has a technical issue impacting only future dated amalgamations with effective dates of January 1, 2026. It does not impact any other type of future dated filings.
You can still future date your amalgamation, but output of documents from the Ontario Business Registry for these filings may be delayed, even though the documents will ultimately reflect the intended effective date once processed.
We recognize that this delay may present challenges that depend on prompt receipt of output documents. To help minimize disruption, eCore will offer a limited holiday filing service on January 1, 2026, to accommodate urgent requests and maintain continuity.
For BACK-TO-BACK AMALGAMATION filings submitted on the effective date itself (January 1, 2026) will receive immediate turnaround and will bypass the technical error currently causing these delays.
Please note that a holiday surcharge per filing will apply to requests to be processed on Statutory holidays.
