January 1 Filings Announcement
The Ontario Business Registry is currently experiencing a technical issue impacting only future-dated amalgamations with an effective date of January 1, 2026. We expect this issue to be resolved in January, but until then, it is impacting filings processed through eCore®.
Please note: This issue does not affect any other type of future-dated filings, such as incorporations or name changes, and is unrelated to Dye & Durham’s systems.
You may continue to future-date your amalgamations. However, output documents for filings with an effective date of January 1, 2026, may be delayed. Despite this, all documents will reflect the correct intended date once processed.
We understand that timely receipt of output documents is critical to your workflow. To help minimize disruption, eCore® will offer a limited holiday filing service on January 1, 2026. This will ensure that we can support your urgent requests and maintain continuity for your filings during this period.
Back-to-back amalgamation filings submitted on January 1 will receive immediate turnaround and will bypass the technical issues currently causing delays.
Please note that a holiday surcharge of $1000 per filing will apply to any requests processed on statutory holidays, including January 1.

Year-End Filing Deadlines and Service Availability
As the busy corporate filing season approaches, our team is here to help ensure your year-end filings are completed smoothly and that your required dates are secured.
Guaranteeing Filing Dates:
To guarantee your preferred filing date, please submit all year-end filings by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2025.
How to Submit Your Filing Requests:
To ensure accurate and timely processing:
- Send all filings requests directly and exclusively to [email protected].
- Include the entity name in the email subject line.
- Submit each filing request in a separate email to allow for individual tracking.
Alternatively, you can submit your filings through the eCore portal.
For support with year-end or back-to-back filings, we recommend contacting us as early as possible to secure your required filings dates. Early submissions will help secure your preferred dates and allows for additional processing time during this high-volume period.
Urgent Filings:
If your file is urgent, please clearly indicate your required filing date and entity name in the email subject line. For example, “CORPORATION 123 – FILE BY December 24, 2025”
Sufficient Funds:
Please ensure your account is funded with a sufficient balance to cover the expected filing feels. Having sufficient funds in your account will help prevent any unnecessary delays in processing your requests.

- Thursday, December 25, 2025
- Friday, December 26, 2025
- Thursday, January 01, 2026
